Guavas are grown almost entirely for fresh consumption. However, international market for fresh guavas is small. Nevertheless, more trade is carried on processed guava products like Juices and nectars, Jam and Jellies, fruit paste, canned whole and halves in syrup. Some traders believe that there is a good international market potential for fresh guavas and that demand will grow as more consumers become acquainted with this fruit.

Climate: guava is successfully grown under tropical and subtropical climatic zones. In areas having inct winter season, the yield tends to increase and quality improves. It can be grown from sea level to an altitude of about 1515 m. young plants are susceptible to drought and cold conditions. Dry atmosphere at the time of flowering and fruit setting is ideal whereas high temperature at fruit development causes fruit drop.
 
Soil: The guava does equally well on heavy clay, to light sandy, gravel bars near streams, or on limestone and tolerates a pH range from 4.5 to 9.4. It is some what salt resistant. Good drainage is recommended however, guavas are seen growing on land with high water table.

Commercial Varieties:

Pear shape Large: Of Large size, slightly oblate deep pink with very thin skin, thick white flesh, few seeds.

Pear shape Small: Of small size, slightly oblate deep pink with very thin skin, thick white flesh, few seeds.

Allahabad: Large white fleshed with few fairly hard seeds.

Red fleshed: Of medium size with many fairly soft seeds, high in pectin and good for jelly.

Apple color: Of medium size, slightly oblate deep pink skin, creamy white flesh, moderate amount of seeds, very sweet flavor. Heavy bearer, good keeping quality.
 

Raj jamun. This is a large-fruited type having oblong fruits of deep purple colour. A type having large- sized fruits Jamun is propagated both by seeds as well as vegetatively. is usually multiplied by seeds. The fresh seeds can be sown (within 10-15 days) 4-5 cm deep at a ance of 25cm x15 cm. The seeds germinate in10-15 days after sowing. The seedlings become ready for transplanting in spring or next monsoon. Seedling plants bear fruits of variable size and quality.
 
The jamun trees can be grown on a wide range of soils-calcareous, saline sodic soils and marshy areas. Deep loam and well-drained soils are, however, the most ideal. It does not like very heavy and light sandy soils.

Jamun fruits can be processed into excellent quality fermented beverages such as vinegar and cider , and non-fermented ready-to-serve beverages and squashes. A good quality jelly can also be prepared from its fruits. The seeds can be processed into powder which is very useful to cure diabetes.

We produced best quality seeds .It is an evergreen small fruit tree. It has a rounded crown, short trunk and woolly new twigs. The tree can grow to 5-10 m tall, but is often smaller, about 3-4 m. Alternately arranged elliptic-oblong leaves, 10-25 cm long, are dark green.

The flowers appear in the autumn or early winter, and the fruits are ripe in late winter or early spring.
Loquat fruits, growing in clusters, are oval, rounded or pear-shaped, 3-5 cm long, with a smooth or downy, yellow or orange, sometimes red-blushed skin.

Each fruit contains 3-5 large brown seeds. The fruits are the sweetest when soft and yellow.
 

It is a medium-sized evergreen tree, reaching 30 ft tall.

The fruit ripens from late May to June. Its outside is covered by a red, roughly-textured rind that is inedible but easily removed. The inside consists of a layer of sweet, translucent white flesh, rich in vitamin C, enveloping a brown nut-like seed.
